Corporate Recruiter - One year contract with possibility of extension

In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment for a variety of positions across our retail store network, Head Office departments, and affiliated businesses. You'll partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies, attract top talent, build strong candidate pipelines, and help deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for retail management, Head Office, and specialized positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies for open roles.
- Create and post engaging job advertisements across applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks.
- Source active and passive candidates through online recruiting tools, networking, referrals, and industry connections.
- Review applications and assess candidate qualifications against position requirements.
- Conduct candidate pre-screening interviews and participate in formal interview processes.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Coordinate and attend career fairs, networking events, and campus recruitment initiatives.
- Develop relationships with educational institutions, industry associations, and community organizations to support recruitment efforts.
- Promote London Drugs as an employer of choice through positive candidate and stakeholder interactions.
- Coordinate reference checks, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Prepare employment offers, offer packages, and new hire onboarding documentation.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and applicant data within company systems.
- Provide recruitment guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Participate in employer branding initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance recruitment marketing strategies.
- Support special projects and other talent acquisition initiatives as required.
What You Bring
- Previous recruitment, talent acquisition, human resources, or related experience is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Applicant tracking software experience is an asset, preferably with Workday.
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices, candidate sourcing techniques, and interviewing methods.
- Understanding of employment-related legislation, including Human Rights and work authorization requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of retail operations and workforce planning is considered an asset.
