Photo Lab Specialist

 

The Photo Lab Specialist is responsible for assisting in production of all Photo Photofinishing, while meeting quality and service standards, as well as maintaining a professional attitude, and work environment. This individual should have a desire to take responsibility for progression along their career path by completing appropriate material and external training courses 

 

This position is responsible for: 

  • Printing, processing, and sorting film of all sizes and types. 
  • Maintaining equipment under the direction of the Photo Lab Manager. 
  • Mixing chemicals and general housekeeping. 
  • Communicating with Photofinishing staff to ensure timely delivery of photofinishing. 
  • Scanning film using a PC for digital delivery of images. 

 

Some or all of the following criteria are considered a definite asset: 

  • Two years photo finishing experience. 
  • Diploma from an accredited Photo Technology program. 
  • Proficiency in the use of the WIN/AL, Windows, Word, Exchange/Outlook, Excel, and Photoshop.  

 

The successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Solid leadership skills, ability to delegate effectively, and work within a team structure. 
  • Self motivation. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • An eye for detail. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Initiative to isolate and solve problems. 
  • Ability to mix chemistry and monitor chemistry/color using a densitometer. 
  • Technologically current printing and digital skills.  

 

Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday, at least 12 to 16 hours per week, day and evening shifts.
